Ms. Anu Suraj

Cofounder, Managing Trustee

With over a decade of experience as a seasoned mental health professional, Ms. Anu Suraj provides compassionate counseling, psychotherapy, and education to individuals, families, and communities. Specializing in clinical counseling and trauma-informed therapy, she is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for her clients, helping them build resilience and emotional well-being.

Ms. Suraj offers hybrid mental health services both locally and globally. She regularly conducts impactful mental health sessions for schools, parenting forums, and corporate wellness platforms.

In recognition of her exceptional contributions to Child Safety, Ms. Suraj has been honored with the Humanitarian Excellence Award and her work has been recognized by United Nations.

Economic and Social Affairs and the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. She is also a TEDx speaker, sharing her expertise and insights on mental health and child protection with a global audience

Mr. Suraj CS

Cofounder, Settlor

Mr. Suraj has been instrumental in laying Swaraksha’s base and foundation. Swaraksha is his baby and it is his idea that had given birth to this organisation. Suraj is an IT professional and has done his engineering graduation. He currently works in an IT firm and is a rock-solid support for the organisation. He has coordinated the social media and other visual media platforms of the organisation and has been pioneer in arranging funds for the organisation by bringing in various CSR opportunities from concerned citizens and firms.

Mrs. Anita Pradeep

Joint Secretary, Founding Member

Mrs. Anita has been one of the key trustees of the organisations from the start. She had helped in laying a strong foundation. She is also a mentor at Swaraksha. Formerly a preschool teacher with Time kids, a home baker and an Autism resource person, Anita is a person with lots of experience and creativity. She is currently the Member of the Advisory board of Autism Club Ernakulam. She is also autism resource person and one of the cofounders of TogetherWeCan – an organisation working for inclusion and for upholding rights of the differently abled children. She has been an active participant and contributor since its inception. She handles the preschool campaigns and has been conducting sessions through puppetry, dolls, role plays and dance dramas.. She also concentrates more on sessions conducted at special schools for parents of children with special needs.

Mrs. Sajina Arun

Legal Professional, Treasurer

Ms. Sajina Arun has been actively involved in laying down the strong foundations of the organization along with the others. She has been educating and sensitizing society as a whole on POSCO, legal rights, POSH, DV Act etc. and empowering them towards various forms and types of harassment and abuse. She presents case studies in the form of stories in an easily understandable manner for children. Her age-appropriate conversations with children have also made her a favorite among little ones. She is an excellent team player and she has been a key influencer in bringing in associations with people from the judiciary and law enforcement.

Mrs. Soumya Nair

Secretary, External Administration

Ms. Soumya Nair has been very key team player in bringing the organization and members together. She coordinates sessions with very small children. She sensitizes kids on personal safety through dolls, puppets and role plays. She has shouldered many responsibilities starting from handling administration activities to mentoring little ones. She is a talented and creative dancer, designer with a passion for creative arts. She lends a patient listening ear to children in voicing out their concerns.

Mrs. Sreelakshmy Dass

Sreelakshmy Dass is an experienced teacher, special educator, and social worker with a strong commitment to child safety, inclusive education, and emotional well-being. As a mentor with Swaraksha for Kids - an NGO dedicated to child protection and empowerment - she has conducted numerous awareness sessions and training programs across schools and institutions.

Her expertise spans Personal Safety Education (PSE), cyber safety, and life skills development, tailored for children of all age groups. Sreelakshmy has worked with diverse student communities, including sessions for the Kerala Blasters Junior Football Team, and is known for her interactive, age-appropriate, and empathetic approach. She brings to each session a blend of educational insight, psychological sensitivity, and real-world experience, making her an effective and engaging resource for student-centered learning on safety and personal development.

Mrs. Gauripriya

Gauripriya is a passionate legal professional, PSE educator, and child rights advocate dedicated to promoting justice and empowerment. With expertise in legal facilitation and POSH support, she provides crucial guidance and advocacy for vulnerable populations, particularly children. Through her work, Gauripriya strives to create a more just and compassionate society, upholding the highest standards of integrity and compassion
